ARTIST Gustavo Bernal

Gustavo Bernal

I strongly believe in the statement from the little prince: The essential it’s invisible to the eye. However I also believe that; when our eyes and senses are used to appreciate art, the
visible can trigger the essential within us

Gustavo Bernal is an emerging Latin artist from Talpa de Allende, Mexico. He has a deep appreciation of the Arts and makes a living working as a doctor specialized in Aesthetics.

The experience he has gained working in Aesthetics has developed a great sense of proportion when it comes to his Art work. Although Gustavo Bernal’s paintings are mostly abstracts and considered modern; you will still find the golden ratio in most of them.

“I love almost every form of art, painting, sculpture, poetry, music, dancing, theater. The capacity of being able to acknowledge someone’s soul thru their art expression it’s something I find magical. I love the beauty of self expression; to me, it’s not about how beautiful an art piece it’s considered; it’s about the emotions it makes me feel.”

Gustavo uses multiple techniques and materials, as he believes that: in order to give enough depth and meaning to the piece, it has to have different textures, volume and colors. For this reason you will find: Chinese ink, acrylic, fabric, wire, wood, and oil paint on his pieces.

“I strongly believe in the statement from the little prince: The essential it’s invisible to the eye. However I also believe that; when our eyes and senses are used to appreciate art, the visible can trigger the essential within us”
