Artist Statement.

I love drawing animals because it helps me feel connected to nature around us. I enjoy drawing for others, especially when it’s something I have put my heart into. I love bringing animals and people together, hence a duo collection called “Bear and Me”. In these two mini ink pieces, I draw a bear with a girl and a bear with a toddler. I tried to exhibit the special “bond” they have with each other in the simple style of drawing to show that friendship doesn’t have to be complicated in order to be genuine. The mediums I work in are graphite, colored pencil, ink, and oil. When I sit and draw for one or two hours I feel completely immersed in a serene environment and think about nothing else. This is why I love art.
