ARTIST Gavin Kermode

Gavin Kermode is a bay area artist with a focus on large scale ceramic sculpture.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Gavin’s art has long been inspired by politics, his early interest in figure drawing and local culture. Gavin graduated with distinction with his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California College of Arts and his studio is in Martinez, CA. His work has been commissioned by private collectors and exhibited in galleries around the world.

In addition to his art practice, Gavin is the Department Chair of the Visual Performing Arts at Miramonte High School in Orinda, CA. He teaches 3D Art to sophomores through seniors which includes sculpture, metal casting and jewelry. He resides in Martinez, CA with his wife, two daughters and three dogs.
