Beth Mostovoy

Photographer Beth Mostovoy, a.k.a. Honeybear Prints, travels the world in search of images that “reveal the extra-ordinary in the ordinary moments that color our lives.”

Honeybear Prints Photography showcases photographs from travels locally, and around the world, utilizing distinctive formats to capture the cultural flavor behind the images. Mostovoy is known for her Doorway and Window Collections, which tap into the universal fascination with doors and windows from diverse locations including Italy, France, China, Greece, New Orleans and New Mexico.

Mostovoy confesses to be inpired by “everything” and her distinctive photos capture a moment in time and tell a story in images. Classic cars, gas pumps, musical instruments, lighthouses, Italian shoes, hummingbirds and flowers are but a few of the subjects she has explored thru her lens. A selection of Bay Area destination imagery, including Napa Valley, Monterey, Filoli, Carmel and Half Moon Bay complements her international images.

Mostovoy’s passion has been shooting pictures for most of her life. ”I am blessed with a ‘good eye’. I see the world in photographs. I am drawn to questions of seeing, of reflections, of looking in, out, and through a variety of media…to strip away the extraneous and see what remains.”

Hand in hand with being a working artist, Mostovoy explores new ways to bring art to people. Mostovoy created and produces the successful Redwood City “ART on the Square” shows since 2007, formed and Chairs ARTS RWC, dedicated to Aligning Art & Revitalization Together for Economic Success in Redwood City, serves on the Redwood City Parks and Art Foundation Board and the Redwood City Art Gorillas.

Other highlights include: Artist of the Year recognition 2014; Spectrum Magazine Cover and Feature Article; Third Place (Travel/Tourism), International Photography Awards; and a Frank Lloyd Wright Collection featured at Frank Lloyd Wright‘sTaliesin West and East. Mostovoy believes in the power of art to make a difference in the world and created a collection of images to sell as fundraisers for 9/11 and victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Beth lives in Redwood City with her sweet Honeybear, Kraig.
